2009 Baja 500 Starting Position Draw Saturday April 25th

Just a heads up that the starting position draw for the 2009 Baja 500 ( June 5th-7th ) will take place on Saturday, April 25th. We will have the results of the draw later that day.Robby Gordon will run all the SCORE events this year, and is the current point leader.

Hey TOG, did anyone figure out how Robby can run the Primm race in the AM which actually ends in the early afternoon EST, have a 5 plus hour flight to Richmond and be there for the start of the race? I know this was discussed before, but no one had any info as to how this can be done. Is someone driving the 7 car for him that race possibly? I really hope he does run Primm but what a logistical nightmare.

i think he leased the stak trek enterprise and the molecule relocator. * sorry,, I am not a trekkie,but there was that thing that made them reappear and disapear , lol )

I remember that..from my childhood when I watched Star Trek, and I think he'll need it to make both races. Think they still have one laying around from the Star Trek exhibit at the Hilton they took down? Think they'd let him use it? Or maybe he can astral-project himself back to Richmond.

It 's the "Transporter", though when Robby uses it, he modifies the command a bit: "Jim Beam me up, Kirk".

Primm is the saturday and Richmond is the sunday so i think there's no problem for Robby

yes, he doesn't need to be present,
the guys who finish San Felipe, the first ten, has the first Draw for the starting line

I hope the swine flu outbreak does not affect the race. There is talk of travel restrictions in areas that are effected.
