I feel like we have a good shot this week. This is a way to get all of our heads back up after sonoma and show Stewart Isnt the only good Onwer-driver team. I would try to run up front, but whatever you think is best....cant argue with the plate track results. Good luck.
I havent really looked, but what does the weather look like for today, tomorrow and saturday ??
Scattered t-storms. In other words, FL in July. Storms usually pass through pretty quickly. This track dries fast with banking and since they'll run under the lights, it can take all night long if the racing gods should decide.
Yeah, the weatehr channel has scattered/isolated T storms listed for the next 10 straight days for Daytona...lol

Crap shoot...will be partly sunny an hot when there isnt a random T storm in the area.
another rain shortened race at Dayton is not going to go over well with fans.
Especially one that starts after 8pm as it is. I predict very poor ratings, which is too bad for one of the "big" showcase races of the year. Many families will be out watching fireworks, or at family barbeques, away from a TV as it is. Others will be nodding off at home. Any delay will see a bunch of folks shutting off the TV and going to sleep.
Or TIVO to watch the next morning. It's just way too hot to run these races here during the day. The stands were empty when they were doing that.
July in Florida is just a BAD month for a race. In fact the best Pepsi 400 I ever attened was the postponed race that took place in October becuase of the Florida Fires in 2000 or whenever it was. July day race is TOO hot and there are ALWAYS scattered thunderstorms in the afternoon/early evening. You can't win.

Prediction...qualifying will be rained out, again.
THE WEST COAST RULES!!!!
less bugs less humidity more dessert more surf less rain more smog earthquakes....Lakers and the Dodgers ... I love L.A.!
Glad to see you made it there safely. Have a great time.
So which practice will we be P1 and we'll hear the guys in the booth say "Practice times mean nothing" lol
