haha, so true.
41ST IN PRACTICE SO FAR
Looks like he hasn't had drafting practice yet.
yeah no way running 183's interesting that hes running a qual lap or 2...pretty useless at Daytona.
with the new double file restarts i dont think the riding in the back stratagy will work. when things stack up on a restart the wreck is always 3-4 cars back. with the double file the back wont be far enough back to avoid the big one. i think it would be smart to stay up in the top all day and out of trouble. but we will see!
GOOD POINT, WE SHALL SEE
all you have to do is pull out of line and drift backwards off a double file restart (if you are on the outside.)...riding in the back wont be a problem...a little trickier if you are restarting mid pack on the bottom
the thing i am woried about is unless we are a lap down we will be starting mid pack, with the lap down cars behind us. and with all the lap down cars in the back if we pull out to ride in the back we will be riding with lap down cars. those cars are a lap down for a reason they are slow! it will be very easy to lose the draft this way, and we will end up a lap down. i really dont want a repeat of the 500
there are not many lap down cars at Daytona during the course of a race..5 tops....no worries there.
this is just one of those things that we have never seen before. so we will see!
GIRLFRIEND OUT OF TOWN THIS WEEKEND NOTHING BUT COUCH AND RACING.
Go buy beer.
