My neighbor has a Cherry tree and an Apple tree. He does nothing to them. That's "his way" of doing things.
In turn they produce fruit that is scrawny, some worms and has been pecked at. The fruit falls to the ground, some in my yard and draws varmints, rots and creates a stench. Maybe he gets a few pieces that are edible. As the Proverb says, you reap what you sow.

I "get" the whole "doing it my way" shtick. It works for RGM at some levels. But it's not working in NASCAR in it's current mode. "the fruit is close to being picked...." does not look appetizing. If it were not for the fact that the #34 and #82 were so pitiful the #7 would be possibly looking at going to Daytona outside the T-35.
it was not my intention to insult anyone. if i did, i apologize. yes the cup program needs attention. yes it is a spec car series. yes we are going for world domination!

question for you offspring. What is the tail number on the bands private jet?
I think this thread has run it's course. Everybody feel better?
I'll help out patching the holes in the wall. :)
Here is my take on this weeked.

RGM"s Nascar side is not in good shape. Maybe the shop and crew need the dot the I's and cross the T's speach from Robby again. Why was Kirk not on the box this week? I dont know how many of the off-road guys are still back there if any helping on the Cup side, but whatever is going on is not working. Also the souvenir trailer was pretty bare. The only die cast that were for sale were old stock, Real old stock, like the Harrah's Chevy! Very few sponsors T-shirts, mostly RGM stuff and Paul Menard stuff as it looks like they are now sharing the trailer.

Now the good news about this weekend.
Our whole group had a good time, Except for the guys still there now taking down our camp! We still have one of the best camps in the infield. Many still think we are a hospitality tent with all of our gear. Like normal the Phoenix track safety crew that works turn 3 came by and had breakfast with us. Rutledge and some of the Speed pre-show guys came by. They did not film our camp again for the show as we had not started cooking at 7am when the like to tape the infield stuff for the show. We did get them to film the Nova bbq next door to us. After all this the guys came back and had Machaca Burrito's at our camp.

And to top the whole weekend off, my former off-road race partner Justin Lofton wrapped up the ARCA Championship this weekend at Rockingham Speedway. This year Justin has won 9 poles and won 6 races.
You should have been in Rockingham..Whats the matter with you ??????
Well that is a good question? Thinking back and seeing how bad the race was for our favorite Cup team, maybe we should have gone to the Rock! Actually if the dates were not the same as the Cali race there would have been a good chance we could have gone. Right now me and a few guys are trying to see if we can go to the banquet in Dec. I did talk to Justin right after the race when all his PR stuff was over. He said he was waiting for a call from me. I got our whole camp to cheer for him on speaker phone. So it was pretty cool. We took our white board that we write messages on in front of our camp and posted a big Congrat's to Justin sign.

Also it looks as if Justin will not be racing the last 3 out of 4 Nationwide race he had scheduled with CJM racing in the #14 car. He finished 16th in his first NW race, so I dont know what the deal is. I figured I would check with him later on, as this week is all about celebrating his ARCA Championship. I'm guessing this might be a bit bigger then that BITD Championship we won! LOL! I'm just thinking!
I don't know if winning by 10 points sets a record, but talk about close! At least he didn't have to put up with the foolishness of Ricky "lost my brakes" Stenhouse. Parker was a force in the second half.
Yep what made it even closer was the fact that Justin qualified 2nd, but something happen to his engine and the Triad Engine guys felt they needed to change it causing Justin to the back and start last, while Parker started 4th. Believe it or not Justin told me that did not stress him out that much.

Parker was hot the second half of the season. Originally I was told that Parker was only scheduled to run just over half of the season, as that was all Penske was paying Cunningham Motorsports for. Parker is under contract and is a development driver for Penske and Cunningham gets support from Penske too.

Well once they saw how well he was doing Cunningham got Penske to pick up the second half of the season. If they would not have done this, the season whole have been a blow out. Frank Kimmel finished 3rd in points, 455 points behind Justin. Between Justin and Parker they won 70% of the races this year. I'm not sure about Poles, but I bet Justin & Parker had 50% of those too. ARCA says this is the 3rd closest points finish in ARCA's history.
