2009 Infineon Race Weekend Discussion

Join in here and discuss all the weekends activities at Infineon for RGM. There will be 2 team cars for RGM this weekend, PJ Jones in the #04 and of course Robby Gordon in the #7. First practice is on Friday, June 19, 3:00 - 4:30 pm/et, live on SPEED.Qualifying is also on Friday, June 19 at 6:35pm/et,live on SPEED. There are 2 practices on Saturday, June 20,12:30 - 1:15 pm/et and from 1:50 - 2:50 pm/et,both live on SPEED. Race Coverage of the Toyota/Save Mart 350 at Infineon Raceway is scheduled for Sunday, June 21, 2009 TNT at 5:00 pm/et; pre-race show at 3:30 pm/et; green flag approx 5:16pm/et.Post here or follow the race on raceday chat.

Robby has started DEAD LAST at Watkins Glen many times, as wella s in the 30's there from Q's being rained out. He has done it before.

Looked like Robby's car kept all four tires planted on the track much more than the others too. That could be key as the race progresses...

And that is actually a good point. Smooth is, typically, fast. And the #7 did look smooth today. Not lifting up and flexing the entire chassis like some guys (#13).

It seems here that people haven't kept up with how road racing fields have changed. There aren't 3 to 5 guys that have a chance to win, and a bunch of field fillers anymore. Thats just not the way it is.

A solid top ten, is a good day.

Bright side: Being outside of the top 35 in points should no longer be a worry for the rest of the season.
