37th....sad finish...
Maybe but motoring into the top twenty - good. Developing a bad push for an unknown reason and then tearing the car up after blowing a right front tire - not so good.
I look at being a Robby Gordon fan as having two sides, the off-road side and the NASCAR side. As an Robby Gordon off-road fan we grown accustom, if not spoiled, by Robby being the man to beat, numero uno, and we’re seldom disappointed.

Being a Robby Gordon NASCAR fan is akin to being a New York Mets fan. The season begins with great optimism and ends with head shaking disappointment. It reminds me of a bit by comedian Jim Breuer describing what it’s like to be a Mets fan:

“It’s like being in love with an alcoholic. You constantly defend her, and people are like, ‘Dude, your alcoholic friend is a mess,’ and you’re like, ‘Nah, you don’t know her like I do.’”

We also live in a complaining culture thanks primarily to the Internet. We rant, second-guess and berate because it’s so easy to do. Type some words and press the ‘Enter’ key. We’ve also become society of expert armchair crew chiefs, and backseat drivers – yet the vast majority have never sat in the hot seat on the pit box, much less been behind the wheel, but we're "experts" nonetheless.

I’m a Robby Gordon fan because what he’s doing; going all in and doing it his way. That takes courage, intestinal fortitude…..and balls.
Well put! AMEN!
I have a friend who worked for a dentist office in LA, and he made a nice living. He opened up his own office in a less fortunate area to give his services to those who couldnt afford the high prices without insurance, even for simple services such as cleaning and minor extractions. His mother and girlfriend both told him he was wasting his talents by focusing on basic services for less money , to less fortunate, instead of high dollar clients doing dental implants, etc. Regardless of what his peers thought, he doesnt regret the decision at all , and is happy at what he does. I think if Robby wanted to take the easy way out, he would have stayed with RCR ( about the time I started following him )
I have been a member of this site since the early part of the year and this has been the same scenario each and every week. No not Robby's racing, but you guys. I am getting sick of reading about how many of you are the biggest Robby fan, or they are the persona of a Robby fan. Hey get a grip, we all are Robby fans. If we weren't we wouldn't be on here. We all have our opinions. Who cares if you watched him since you were in your mothers womb and came out with a "7" tattoo on your arm.

I compare it to being a Red-Sox fan, because I grew up as one (sorry about the similiarties WJM). Do you think my father and his father before complained about starting off so good and then finding a way to fail? You betcha. Do you think they bitched and moaned each and every day after the season ended? Yup. Do you think they forgot about it on opening day and said "this is our year"? Yes. Just because they complained, did not make them not life long Red Sox fans...

Another thing, do you think Robby wants this pity that each and everyone of you give him? "Hey we are a single car team, boo hoo, we have it tough." He only mentions it during interviews when asked. He doesn't use it as a leg to stand on and use as an excuse. Leave it at that.

These are just opinions and its an open forum. Thanks TOG for this chance to bring all of us Robby fans together and rant together as fans.

Sorry for the long post. I don't like reading the long ones and now I go and post one :)
watch ABC and the Off Raod race in a few weeks and all be reminded why you are a RG fan.

Its been clear for a long time we dont like him because the Sunday races. If he switche to F1 we would all be watching him there.

RGM will give it all they have for the next race, and the one after, and after that........and after that.
If your not happy with the results then i dont know what to tell you. Its not about my expectations
thats what sucks,

His points show he is just ahead of a start and parker3, but he tries 100 times harder. Hope he atleast has a few good runs before the season is over.

Its kind of like rooting for your football team. sometimes they ahve it sometimes they dont, and when they dont do well, Do you change your team........Hmmm no, at least i dont.
My football team has sucked for years, but guess what..
Are you a Lions fan,? lol
haha, no but i feel for them..eek
I'm a Detroit Lions fan......... I Know what you mean,They have been my team for 40 some years.
That is total BS and I cannot believe you even think that. While he may not have th budget others do, i do think he wants to finish the best he can every race.
