2009 Review: What was your favorite Robby moment in Nascar's 2009 season

What memory of the Nascar 2009 season stood out as your favorite?

1. Michigan - Robby Gordon, Red Stag & Kid Rock join forces in the promotional event
2. Talladega (2) - Robby Gordon charges to front and leads the race, running inside the Top 15 most of the race
3. Watkins Glen - After a run-in with Joey, Robby says"I really don't care what Joey Logano thinks!"
4. Charlotte - Robby stays out during threat of rain to grab a 3rd place finish
5. Martinsville - Grabbing attention, Robby sports a yellow car with a giant black arrow

# 2 all the way. Leading at Talladega was by far the most exciting for me this year! I thought to my self, is this what it is like to have your driver at the front of the field every week? "WOW"
BINGO! I got about 20 text messages during that time. That was the coolest for sure.

Worst moment was watching that in car camera and listening to him at Sonoma after Labonte sat and waited for the caution.
I thought Dakar was pretty cool and obviously his Off-Road year was amazing as well. As far as NASCAR I would have to say my favorite moment was the end of the season..........
'dega... ran great and drove to the front on talent, not fuel strategy. The entire team stepped it up a notch after Doug came on board. Brought much hope of what they can do in '10, along with hope that Doug remains part of the plan!
When Robby said during an after accident interview -
I'm looking forward to him "Michael Waltrip" not being in the 55 car next year.

2. Talladega (2) - Robby Gordon charges to front and leads the race, running inside the Top 15 most of the race.

3. Watkins Glen - After a run-in with Joey, Robby says"I really don't care what Joey Logano thinks!"

Score Championship banquet - Robby asking his team to come up and get recognized for there job well done during his
acceptance speech, thanking his sponsors, reminding Score that he is not giving back the trophy for the victory that was taken away.

Dakar podium moment with his team as he raises up his 3rd. place trophy.
the mikey comment in phoenix. legendary
Sonoma, until the Caution came out..
none this year was a joke and 2010 isnt looking any better i dont want to be a debby downer but can we get some sponsership, fast cars, cars that handle from start to finish ,and stop with the start in the back start moving up threw the feild and boom somthin happens thing im tired of it robby deserves more
I agree. I hate to complain but as far as Nascar goes this year was his second worst year at RGM. The only highlights I can think of is the lucky 3rd at Charlotte and for me, the best run was at the second Atlanta race, running in the top ten most of the night.
The Michael Waltrip greased nail quote
As a fan, I think the September Atlanta race was the highlight of the season. Running inside the top 15 for most of the 2nd half of the race, some inside the top 10, proved that this little team could still run with the big boys was something special. The fact that it happened on a 1.5 gave us hope going into the chase that more good runs were on tap.

Leading Talladega anytime except the last 10 laps doesn't mean much when 1/2 the field isn't trying very hard (ex. i think Loy Allen Jr used to lead here), though the car looked good our front.

There was no rooting or cheering for getting 3rd at Charlotte. He stayed out, it rained, race over. That was about it. Not much enjoyment from the fan's perspective.

The arrow at Martinsville was cool, except for when it pointed in the wrong direction (you knew it was going to happen).

And if Kid Rock weren't around, might we still have the Jim Beam sponsorship in 2010?!?! I hope Doug gets a chance to run the full season next year. It'd be nice to see him have the chance to set this team up in the offseaon and make a run at it. Could we get back to the top 25? I would think so if given the chance.
Of your multiple choices, I'll go with #2. I was so stoked to see Rob muscle his way up to the front. Put a crack in my desk (where I have nascar.com) when he wrecked...I was a lil sore for a couple days too.

HOWEVER, MY FAV MOMENT OF THIS SEASON WAS EASILY CHICAGOLAND!!!!
The couple pr members that were there know why...Getting to watch the end of the NWS race, with a cold beer in hand & color commentary from Robby at the next table. Also back in the infield with a fresh Stag & Coke, & RG comin to see us for the party!
Thanks again to Kirk & the boys from IA for the hospitality. We'll make it bigger & better in 2010!
