I was leaning towards Robby running the 07...even if it's out-of -pocket. Too much of an opportunity at that track to get a win. Robby has had a good car the last few years...be hard for him to sit on that pit box for that race. Hopefully he calls an audible...
Take into account the fact that the two plate tracks are an areo game that would mean a primary/back up X 2 for Rob to run serious. I'm sure there is some wind tunnel time for the plate tracks as well and it would, (in my opinion) be worth the extra cost to be at Talledega. However at the same time I'm not a numbers guy and also not even sure Rob has 4 plate cars/bodies (super speedway chassis). Lots a cars have a good chance to get torn up during practice at the plate track........in the end does RGM even have the cars needed for a two team effort at Dega?
its a much bigger fish to fry entering a 2nd car on a plate track,no question. Probably makes no sense to do so without sponsorship.
also a large opportunity with 2 tore up race cars...
It's a good track for RG, no doubt... but a really good chance to destroy a car and lots of much needed $$. When you wreck at Dega, its not a PJ or Labonte accident, you often just throw the car in the trash. I would love to see him race, but certainly understand if he doesn't. Might be cool to see him start the 07 and stay out to lead laps so that FRM couldn't do it. Probably would only have to do it once, then they would likely be a lap down anyway. Just a thought.
TOG, Robby is running the full race in the 07 at Kansas right ?
guess we will find out next week.Gotta make the show first.
Good job to who ever picked the pit stall for the race. Right in front of my seat. And of course I know it was just for me.
did you have extra time to look at the car.....OHHHHHHH, I had to go there, sorry, all in fun now
Man, what a great weekend for everybody at RGM. Great job
