Robby Gordon Martinsville Preview

Charlotte, NC (March 25, 2010) – The No. 7 Warner Music Nashville / Blake Shelton Camry speeds into Martinsville Speedway this weekend with high hopes after recording a season-best finish of 22nd at Bristol Motor Speedway last week. After an unlucky start to the 2010 season, the team looks forward to the challenge of recording another strong finish at the 0.526-mile short track to obtain a spot within the top-35 Sprint Cup Series owners’ points.

Robby’s Thoughts – “Martinsville Speedway is different from any other track on the Sprint Cup circuit,” commented Gordon. “Its tight corners and flat banking present a whole different set of challenges from every other short track that we visit. Not only is it a tough track on the driver, but it’s also hard on equipment. I’m confident in my team’s ability, and I’m sure that they built the Warner Music Nashville / Blake Shelton Toyota Camry to the challenges of Martinsville.”

Need to be in the show to be the show- by hook or crook
Robby will have his right foot right to the radiator!!You can bet on that!!
Robby needs to keep kool and not bounce it off the wall in Qual. Does anyone out there think he stayed in Race Trim during the 1st practice because they saw the rain?
Robbys run a race or two in his life. He knows what to do.
It'll work out, rain or no rain.
I really want Robby to qualify I hope it doesn't rain...I would bet that Larry has a trick up his sleave and that they will pick up a 10th and a 1/2 from practice...It's hard to pass on a great draw and the more the track rubbers up the grippier the track will get and the faster the times will be, just look at how much times were picked up later in the practice runs...
As of 2:20 pm:

More from NASCAR_WXMAN on Twitter:

NASCAR_WXMAN Here's the deal, as the showers increase in coverage we could lose the day with numerous showers. Best Case maybe by 6pm #NASCAR
quick drying track, for sure.More rain though.
They wont qualify today. Robby will start 36th.
The rain dance worked, for those that were 'boogie-ing'
So now the question is, is the stripped down car suitable for a race at Martinsville? Let's hope they get some good practice runs in tomorrow, and can adjust the car for the start of the race.

Also, with no quals, pit selection goes by the Q draw, right? Second to last choice for a pit?
