Robby Gordon Martinsville Preview

Charlotte, NC (March 25, 2010) – The No. 7 Warner Music Nashville / Blake Shelton Camry speeds into Martinsville Speedway this weekend with high hopes after recording a season-best finish of 22nd at Bristol Motor Speedway last week. After an unlucky start to the 2010 season, the team looks forward to the challenge of recording another strong finish at the 0.526-mile short track to obtain a spot within the top-35 Sprint Cup Series owners’ points.

Robby’s Thoughts – “Martinsville Speedway is different from any other track on the Sprint Cup circuit,” commented Gordon. “Its tight corners and flat banking present a whole different set of challenges from every other short track that we visit. Not only is it a tough track on the driver, but it’s also hard on equipment. I’m confident in my team’s ability, and I’m sure that they built the Warner Music Nashville / Blake Shelton Toyota Camry to the challenges of Martinsville.”

thks, yes, i was wrong, ufff, been out of 35 is bad if he finish way behind on qual,. right?
From SPEED, I don't think that the radar looks very good.
I hope that the rain rules and Qual is cancelled. Reason is that the track conditions have changed since practice and what they are now is the unknown. We know that in the past RGM has difficulty in adjusting to changing track condition. Therefore, I beleive his best chance to get into the show is for Qual to be rainned out.
44 cars get to buildup rubber ahead of him. He would have a good track regardless. If it was older rules and he had to go out early, then it would be more of a challenge.Moot point, since qualifying isnt going to happen.
C'mon rain!!!!!!! One little hic-up in the corner can cost anyone! I would rather be in and not have to worry about qualifying!!!
I hope they get it in somehow... to hell with the rain... I want to see this team Qualify in on time and feel like we have accomplished something....
Or potentially go home and fall further behind the top 35...take the safe money and move on from there. Come Sunday or Monday when the green flag falls, is anyone going to remember or even care how the top 43 drivers made the race?

And Speed just came on and said qualifying has been cancelled, so let's worry about the race!
Always after a handoff.... that's no way to look at it. Robby should easily make the race, maybe even get a better spot then 36th...

EDIT: there we go.... canceled

Yeah Zoom. Thats the radar I was looking at that made it a no brainer to call the qualifying session over an hour ago...lol....No lights = no qualifying...lol...
The #7 will be at the race track for all 36 races. It has been said a million times on this site.

And nice gut feeling TOG! On to Happy Hour!
& Robby will run all the races until at least May.
