Robby Gordon Martinsville Preview

Charlotte, NC (March 25, 2010) – The No. 7 Warner Music Nashville / Blake Shelton Camry speeds into Martinsville Speedway this weekend with high hopes after recording a season-best finish of 22nd at Bristol Motor Speedway last week. After an unlucky start to the 2010 season, the team looks forward to the challenge of recording another strong finish at the 0.526-mile short track to obtain a spot within the top-35 Sprint Cup Series owners’ points.

Robby’s Thoughts – “Martinsville Speedway is different from any other track on the Sprint Cup circuit,” commented Gordon. “Its tight corners and flat banking present a whole different set of challenges from every other short track that we visit. Not only is it a tough track on the driver, but it’s also hard on equipment. I’m confident in my team’s ability, and I’m sure that they built the Warner Music Nashville / Blake Shelton Toyota Camry to the challenges of Martinsville.”

nope, but at least it happened at the end of practice.
It was a godsend for a problem this big to happen in practice and NOT in the race.Maybe Robby hurt it practicing in Q-trim?Q-oil,timing,ect.I'm happy as hell it happened in practice.
Is there a reason the 7 blows a rear gear or motor every time we come here?
got an Idea.... put this monster motor in it.

and folks thought Carl Long's $200,000 penalty was high............lol....
That funny shit right there
just a little out of nascar specs.. uh?
or a direct indicator of the time it takes to make spring, shock and bar adjustments to get the car to handle better. The L1 and L2 buttons on the xbox controller dont work that good in the cup garage.Robby buys the same amount of new tires as the #48 does when he shows up for a race.
Not sure if they do or don't. Great question.
It depends what they have pumping with the sump pump and it the sump pump had damage too.

Plus a good thing to get that qual trans out I bet.
If Robby had a billion dollars to piss away he wouldn't run more laps in practice IMO.It's a matter of feel vs lap times. A rookie might need laps,Robby does not IMO to know the feel he's looking for.
If Robby had a billion dollars to piss away he'd have a test team. But remember you don't get to test anywhere with Goodyear tire's (except authorized tests,we've already covered that conspiracy) so there is that variable.
personally, RG could run 1,000,000 laps at Mville and would still have issues. Just not his track.
