Robby Gordon Martinsville Preview

Charlotte, NC (March 25, 2010) – The No. 7 Warner Music Nashville / Blake Shelton Camry speeds into Martinsville Speedway this weekend with high hopes after recording a season-best finish of 22nd at Bristol Motor Speedway last week. After an unlucky start to the 2010 season, the team looks forward to the challenge of recording another strong finish at the 0.526-mile short track to obtain a spot within the top-35 Sprint Cup Series owners’ points.

Robby’s Thoughts – “Martinsville Speedway is different from any other track on the Sprint Cup circuit,” commented Gordon. “Its tight corners and flat banking present a whole different set of challenges from every other short track that we visit. Not only is it a tough track on the driver, but it’s also hard on equipment. I’m confident in my team’s ability, and I’m sure that they built the Warner Music Nashville / Blake Shelton Toyota Camry to the challenges of Martinsville.”

Didnt help in 05. I hate this. Didn't think it would come down to this again. And it won't be fun.
But '05 was a brand new deal, sort of. I kind of like it. It's kind of exciting, in a way! If they work really hard and make the show, the payoff is tremendous in motivation and momentum. Makes for a great lift in spirits for the team.

I think they'll make it. I don't think it will take much for him to beat all those other dipshits he's 'racing' against to get in.
Let's see - Nemechek, Almirola, Cook, Stremme, Sauter, Mears, McDowell. I stand firmly behind my dipshit labeling.
I think he'll make it too. I just don't like him being with the hommers! He shouldn't be down here.
I am going to be as nervous a a long tailed cat in a room of rocking chairs today. Go Robby go......
I personally want to see qualifying go without the rain, but hey, rain gets him in too.
66-Dave Blaney. 28th fastest overall
#87-Joe Nemechek, 29th
#09-Aric Almirola, 34th
#26-David Stremme, 35th
#35-Johnny Sauter. 36th
#46-Terry Cook, 39th
#90-Casey Mears, 40th
#7-Robby Gordon, 41st
these drivers would miss the race if the order stayed the same:
#36-Mike Bliss, 42nd
#55-Michael McDowell, 43rd
#13-Max Papis, 45th
Truck practice is red flagged for rain
It's raining pretty hard now...there's no shame in taking a freebee from Mother Nature
Qualifying doubtful to be rained out...

From the Nascar Weatherman on Twitter:

NASCAR_WXMAN Looks like the rain is getting better organized, I was wrong on timing, looks like it could delay qualifying #NASCAR
No to the rain! Let everyone flex their respective muscles!
