Charlotte, NC (April 15, 2010) – After recording their best finish of the 2010 season and regaining a position in the top-35, the No. 7 Monster Energy Toyota team hope to carry this momentum forward into this weekend’s race at Texas Motor Speedway.
Robby’s Thoughts – “The performance of the No. 7 team last weekend wasn’t just because of luck,” said Gordon. “Our entire organization put in countless hours of hard work, and it was that dedication that allowed us to run in the top-15 for most of the night. We know that our work isn’t done yet; we know that we’ll need to be on the top of our game every minute that we’re at the track, but we’re up to that challenge. The Monster Energy team put together another great Camry for us to use at Texas [Motor Speedway], and we’re all hopeful that with a lot of hard work and a little luck we will have another strong run this weekend.”
Past Performances at Texas – Since making his debut at the 1.50-mile quad-oval on April 6, 1997, Gordon has recorded 13 starts and has completed over 3,700 laps around the circuit. In last year’s edition of the spring race at Texas Motor Speedway, Gordon’s car was running strong and competing within the top-25 when the engine let go on Lap 251.
