No way they get qualifying in on Saturday.

Interseting to see if RG makes some drafting runs, or just single car runs.

Roll da bones !
yup....sometimes you have to zig when others zag to get ahead
well, we will know soon..since most will be in drafting practice, the go or go homers will be around 30th-35th on the speed charts. It will be ez to tell who is drafting and who isnt.
hmm, good news i guess

its left overs from out storm here in CO
If Quals are rained out, the 46, 35, and 97 go home
I think there is growing support for a race trim session today, banking on a rain out tomorrow. With the impound, better your car is ready to race on Sunday rather than Q trim on Sunday. I say go all-in. As my old man used to say, never up, never in.
Agree. Even if the weather is somewhat clear in the morning, the speedway should cancel track activities for Saturday. National weather service are predicting severe thunderstorms and possible tornados even. Best to keep as many folks away from the track as possible, for safety sake. I read that the speedway staff have had meetings with the Alabama National Guard about contigency plans for the campers at the track.

All in all, RGM should go for it, and test in race trim today.

(Also, good thing Newman isn't running the same sponsor this weekend that he ran in Phoenix. The Tornados car might not go over so well this weekend.)
From Jenna Fryer:

Talladega track officials will meet with #nascar at 4 pm eastern to discuss weather issues. One option is closing track Saturday.
