I def. respect that Robby went the entire distance, even though he didnt gain many more spots then a start or park. At least we are racing! Its def. a better feeling then the ol' excuse - "Well it doesnt make financial sense! Start and park" - I would rather race then not.
@Brad,while you see it as an excuse -lack of money. It's a valid reason.Saturdays full race net'd a 50% financial loss in my mind.
Only the government can get away with deficit spending,oh wait they really can't either. The good news is that Robby didn't tear up a good car like Joe Nemechek did.
I was there. I can't understand how Robby was down that many laps. What you didn't see on TV was at one point near the end. The 32 and 7 were on the inside and #20 Logano and someone were on the outside of turn #3. Robby detached from the 32 and went up like he was going to brush Logano, Joey lifted and was not reconnected for two laps. I guess his threat of RCR vengeance on him was legit. Had he actually hit him, I belive our beloved Robby would have been suspended indefinetely. But watching Robby do it....awesome!
2 cars at Kentucky?
@Speedin, this is being cover'd in this tread.

Someone explain to me how the two car tandems are suddenly costing owners by wrecking so many cars. Did no one actually watch plate races when they had the trains there or is it just a case of selective short term memory? Everyone suddenly forgot about how the entire event was nothing but sitting around and waiting for "the big one." And once it happened it was often followed with another major wreck shortly after the restart. Love it or hate it but the two car tandem isn't destroying any more cars than the trains did.
Daytona & Talladega have ALWAYS destroyed cars.....even before plate races circa 1987
@Gray, Did you ever think that race fans don't like pair's figure skating either? PS.American's in general have short memories.
So does the tem ALWAYS destroy cars mean that it can't be fixed. The owners and drivers know how to fix the wrecks.....that doesn't mean a wreck won't happen but over 50% of the field junk. Fix the aero and the bumpers and turn em loose.

I was right today on the HUB the car owners voiced their opinion and they don't like all the cars torn up. The drivers are as up set as well........they all use the term "that's plate racing" because they don't want a 50K fine..... you know the cover all "detriment to NA$CAR" rule. When the pain exceeds the pleasure only then will the players stand-up and be counted. It was also mentioned that the race was boring untill the end.

We haven't herd the last of this me says change is comming......................
Yeah, I understand people don't like the pairs racing. But I don't see at all how it is tearing up more cars than before. Personally I prefer the racing as it is now, the russian roulette trains were the pitiful excuse for "racing" I've ever seen. And I know a great many people that prefer the current scenario.

Your mileage may vary.
I hear ya Gray, but 'pack' racing didn't require you to be someone's bitch for 4 hours as noted during pit stops that also included a fresh slathering of lubricant on the ass.
Thanks WJM, I was being polite. lubricant on the ass refer's to grease on the rear bumper.sheesh
oh, welcome back from vaca.
