Thats Damn funny
Well on the bright side we would have qualified for this race if we were not locked in :/
you were right, that cooling helped late draws.....
I'm sure we would have run a ton better going out now,...but it is what it is
I will NEVER besmirch Joe Nemecheks ability to run a fast lap and get a car in a show....it's truly remarkable
Joe is a hell of a qualifier.
Plus it helps to setup the car just to qualify.Joe is the master of short race economics.
wonder why no sponsors on the quarter panel of the 7?
The #7 SPEED Energy Dodge will be sporting a new color and partner this weekend. The #7 SPEED Energy Dodge Charger R/T will be yellow to represent the Octane flavor of SPEED Energy and will be sporting two new partners, Terrible Herbst and Wirtz Beverage Nevada. SPEED Energy drinks can be purchased in the Terrible Herbst convenience stores in Nevada.

as per NIKAL on page 5
Hope they make some strides in happy hour tomorrow...if not looks like he'll only be passing cars that wreck.......
this may explain some of the lack of speed...

“Losing a car at Phoenix hurt us a little as the race team was scheduled to make changes to the Phoenix car to be our backup at Las Vegas. We’re going to have to be a little conservative here on Friday and Saturday. Obviously once Saturday is over, it is game on,” says Gordon. “I’m looking forward to driving the yellow SPEED Energy Octane Dodge Charger with Terrible Herbst and Wirtz Beverage on it. It’s going to be a lot of fun promoting the SPEED Energy brand in Las Vegas this weekend.”
So no backup car at the track other than a wrecked Phoenix car?
