36th now probably in race trim
Now 37th and yes rick you were right i read it wrong sorry idk about the car yet but Robby could be sandbagging to get a better qual. spot . Dont forget they go by practice speeds now . I know DW and Mike Joy were saying that some drivers would like to go out early .
Not sandbagging, going out later in qualifying will be an advantage today. Track temp will drop quite a bit throughout with it starting at 3:30.
So far he has run 5 laps and the car is slow off the truck. The up side is with a new car, you don't want to press it too much until you get the balance right. So let's hope the changes they need to make are quick and RG can get back on the track and log some more laps.
Hard to make any adjustmnts when you only run 5 laps.
But we also have " teammates " now . Robby can get tips from the 2 or 22 teams .
I gotta agree
7 got a better, but still a long way to go
7 is slow by 1 sec. only 15 min. left
maybe if 7 ran laps he could find some speed
It takes time dude, you don't just rush in and rush out..... even more so when your going from race trim to qualifying trim or even running your 2nd or 3rd qualifying run.... takes about 20 mins or so.... gotta let the car cool down.. make additional adjustments etc.
a couple more laps and down another .07 - still a long way to go but, have to assume this is race trim
