Well I owed the board some quality comments after slightly being paranoid about Hornish running the 7 car yesterday..LOL
I didn't watch the complete race as I was working on a project in the back yard. So, I missed the part in the middle of Robby and Casey working together to get both cars back on the lead lap. To me the finish of the race was very good and that includes where RG finished. The 7 and the 13 are both 30th or farther back finishing cars on most days. Casey is a pretty good driver and we all think Robby is a great driver, but neither one has a great car to drive.

Robby has been good in the past on the plate tracks, but the dynamics of that type of racing has changed now and most of that advantage is gone. Also, in the old style of plate racing "luck" had something to do with where you finished and that isn't as important anymore. Now it's your drafting partner for the day. All the multiple car teams tried to just work with each other and that left the single car teams to match up with each other. I think the 7 and the 13 working together was a good idea. Be glad it wasn't the 22 that was pushing RG all day! Kurt took 3 different partners out while pushing them. Just my 2 cents worth.
Here is my 2 cents, This type of racing sucks. If you want to call it racing.
What is it ..News Corp. that owns Fox 20th century fox studios ? It's Universal that produced Fast 5. The entertainment biz is cut throat to the hilt. "remember to the hilt"? I would wonder out loud weather or not FOX avoided the Fast 5 car. Did they show Rob when he got the lucky dog ,I was radio only in transit at the time. competition for our entertainment dollars is huge in the movie biz, why would Fox advertise to supposed millions a movie from another studio? And yes I believe all this conspiring to accomplish shit, what else does a guy get paid millions to do, decide on if paper towels in all the johns is cheaper than hot air blowers? No it's shit like "don't show universals movie on that car".

Then you can fire back with how the movie Cars 2 will get some exposure with "JEFF" Gordon playing Jeff Gorvette but cup races will be on TNT then and i'm very biased that FOX is on the FIX while TNT is more of an open minded company.
What am I saying? FOX put the hex on showing a movie from a different company, to all those that caught the lack of and/or avoidance of showing the 7 car. FOX SUX end of story?
Great theory about the Fox/Universal rivals. Robby gets more exposure during qualifying and practice on Speed TV. Additionally, when Robby got the Lucky Dog and was runnnig with Max...er...Casey, Robby's name was mentioned a few times.

From the limited amount of the race I did see, Fox did show Robby and Casey coming in together for a green flag pit stop. No close-ups of the car though.
run up front, get noticed....
FOX lies! o.k. Lefty
this sounds like you have got something there i look for Robby during all broadcasts and he never gets left out like he did this last weekend.should have gotten it up front and gave fox the finger.
I agree with you.
Casey's post race report mentions RG pulling out of line for a pass, then both of them dropping back. I know they got disconnected, but on the scanner RG apologized for getting separated. Did RG really leave Casey? It didn't look that way to me.
according to RG he didn't....he had to get air to his nose..
So his car was getting hot than? Because it looked like they were going 2 the front for a real look at a top 10. Seemed like Robby's car was faster than Mears so we got out Mears could not pull up 2 the back of him. Bummer on the timing it sure was looking promising in the closing laps.
