I agree with everybodies last comments from the race sucked, no cautions made a boring race for me I thought with everybody being a lap down, yet another race that robby finishes in the back laps down, the new car must have not been that good and is miles really the CC for robby? Maybe I'm the only one that thought this and I'm talking out of my ass but it's disappointing as a fan to keep seeing poor results out of the team that should be capable of doing so much better! Supposedly the wind tunnel testing was going to help a great deal with the cars but I haven't seen it happen yet. Next week will be a good race if there Robby misses the wrecks though so we can at least look forward to a good run then. Hopefully it will get better though thru the season and it will become exciting to pull for Robby running and finishing in the top 15-25 on the lead lap...
Race management is a problem at RG. If you continue to do the same each week you are going to get the same results.
One issue that needs to be addressed from last night is the heat inside the car.

Robby started complaining very early on in the race that his heels were burning and he was very hot.

Brad Keselowski also complained about his heels getting burned and being hot in the car.

I am not sure if these are connected in any way, but Robby did mention the Penske headers not being wrapped.

Kevin also posted on Twitter that at the end of the race it was 145 degrees in Robby's car and the steering wheel was 115 degrees.
we do have some issues with our team. first and foremost are the cars themself. we seem to have moments where the car is really great, and then all of a sudden falls off for one reason or another. and....we dont have the knowledge yet of how to right the car and get it back good. this is all part of the game as we are building our own chassis' and cant really get much help from anyone else on how to react to changes in the car. this will all come though as our cc is plenty smart enough...

we also had some issues with our rent a crew last night. i will guarantee you that robby and penske will get those issues resolved.

these growing pains are something that are a necessity for our small team to go through in order to get to the next level... it is also a major reason why most of us are robby fans in the first place. he could easily pick up a ride with a major team, drive some tier 1 equipment and be competitive (think paul menard.... we all know that he is not on the same level as robby as a driver, but has much better equipment right now)... but then he would become a nascar robot and none of us would follow anymore! we like our rebel and like to do things our way! gas on rob and team!
I follow Robby now because I like his independence.However,you wouldn't have to twist my arm much if he was driving and winning(or at least being competitive) for another team.Amen
On HOTPASS Jr. was also complaining about extreme heat in car , I think it was effecting everyone. Chassis needs new packers {what ever those are} put them in take them out, get some new ones.{ that last part just a joke}
packer's (bump stop spacer shims) aren't a matter of 'NEW' or old,they're a matter of how to use and adjust them to set front bumper ride height ,compress'd,and while compress'd, wedge can be adjusted.Wedge is both static and dynamic.Wedge in stock car racing is expressed in percentage's.Wedge is the total scaled weight divided by the combined scale weight at the RT FR and LT RR tires.
Then the team removed a (there are several in a package) packer/s it made the car tighter late entry,middle,not what Robby needed IMO.From my couch, I suggested adding a packer to the LT FR.Really the late half of the race was spent throwing hail mary's that all missed,at that point in the race there where few points to be gained or lost.

'Packers' this is a picture showing how they are installed on my Late Model Penske 7500 shocks
And the creme colored dohickey is a bump stop.
I like that word dohickeys, it describes any number of things...
And the Curly Q thingamajig is a spring
Not sure Robby would ever become a NASCAR robot..... I followed him at RCR (even before that era) and I'd follow him if he drove for Hendrick. Really doesn't matter to me. However, I do pick and choose the races I watch these days (still doesn't take away how big of a fan I am).
