2012 Bristol #1 Race Weekend Info & Discussion

Join in here and discuss all the weekend action for the 2012 Bristol #1 cup race. Robby Gordon will attempt to qualify the #7 SPEED Energy Dodge into the field. Here is the weekend schedule for RGM at the Tennessee track. UPDATE: Robby Gordon had to withdraw after the McClaren techs couldnt diagnose the problem with the EFI/ECU shorting out. Car would not start.

FRIDAY , MARCH 16th

Practice 12:00pm - 1:30 pm/et ( TV - SPEED )
Qualifying 3:30pm - 4:30 pm/et ( TV - SPEED )

Just got home, turned on TV, No Robby list. Came here for the bad news. Jjust when you thought it couldn't get worst. Oh well. NASCAR really needs to get this EFI crapped fixed.
All these problems just make me want to order another case, anyone care to join me?

Why did Robby withdraw? If one car didn't start and something got fried, doesn't he have a backup car?

I know what youre saying TOG, but 13 pages with 12 (156 so far) comments a piece can be a bit tough, and an important tid pit could be accidentally skipped. Ive had people say that to me before and I get a bit offended, I cant always spend all day online, but I want to know what happened.

Not that anybody would actually look, but maybe you could explain the withdrawal (or any other important vital daily information) in the body of this thread (up top)
