@Turtle7, Im really not trying to be the websites troll, but RObby had some decent sponsors but gave little results. The economy took a turn, the sponsor money coalesced to the teams that get results. Basic supply and demand, the demand comes from drivers who get results or have a great fan base. Lets face it, Robby got those big sponsors because he was a colorful driver.

We can bi**h and moan that NASCAR and the sponsors didnt help him enough, bottom line is results and a return for your investment. Robby has a small, but very loyal fan base, Robby isnt Dale Jr or Danica.

"Robby has a small, but very loyal fan base, Robby isnt Dale Jr or Danica" Na$crap wise.

DAKAR wise- you might be amazed

Im talking about NASCAR.

Yup, it is awesome to see his popularity when he runs DAKAR.

Even bigger at a SCORE desert race . Especially the 500 or 1000 the Mexican fans are AMAZING

Not sure I agree, Look at the 42,56,31,9 43 they have sponsors and Robby ran just as good as them when he had funding.

Seeing the news that this could be Robby's last race, it sucks imo that he would leave going out on a crappy note. In my opinion, he should at least come to the tracks he's won and dominated at with something that is capable of winning. Maybe the track isn't a HP track, but I've said it before this weekend and up to now that I was worried about the motor when I found out it was a RGM. Not trying to talk down on the situation because 2nd practice might show something else but at the moment, it doesn't look good. He had to get the car in the show but he ran slower than he thought he would and then in this practice today, he's still slow being at least 3 mph off from the leader! With him saying he's 70 HP off from the Ford's, that's not good to here in my opinion because he is basically saying he doesn't have much under the hood for the race.

Robby can do all the different strategies he wants to that will get him out front to lead but if he doesn't have the power to stay out front or at least run the same pace others are running, they will catch him and pass him! Hopefully after the second practice, there will be better results with the car than what it has show so far. Not really trying to talk down on the race or his efforts but I just don't have a good feeling about this race because it would seems a bad way to go out and not being competitive in your last effort. With Robby's talent, it's just sad to see him not run competitive anymore as the years have gone by since losing Jim Beam and now we might never be able to see him race that much anymore since it's hard to ever catch him racing off road since that stuff is never televised or not ran much on the east coast.

Can't wait for the next practice though, maybe Robby has been keeping his stuff a secret???

not his last race this year. Don't believe the hype :)

That's what I was hoping

I'm sure he will be at the Glen or Montreal, maybe not both but at least one of them.

both
