So Robby was BSing when he said this may be it for 2012?
I'm guessing he's making sure everyone knows he has sponsorship available for upcoming races (including Road Courses).

Robby jumps to 22nd quick with a 17.66, just for referance Jeff is quickest with an average of 17.67

reminder- this Happy Hour session goes till 3:00pm/est and airs on Speed at 11:00pm/est

"Logically Gordon would be using his NASCAR Cup team as part of the marketing plan for the SuperTruck series. Yet he isn't." This is from the article. The funny thing is he's tried to get sponsorship to run the series, yet wont use the same vehicle for his SST series? I never watched a off road race (it's almost never on TV in CT), but after joining the Planet, I look for it and tape it when it's on. I would use NASCAR to bring race fans to the SST series, but what do I know....I sell flooring!!

@Dave, the draw for SST is the kids via BigFoot.Unlike the Monster Jam shows. The SST events will be about racing and vendor displays.

I hear Ya Dave! Down here in FL we will never get to see an SST event probably. Guess this is about the end of the road for me. I love watching RG race in Nascar, and off-road isn't as big on this coast as it is out West so chances of me seeing him race is getting slim.
I don't sell flooring, I sell print and promo items.

beautiful poem, Christina. Did you write it for the occasion?

I think (I hope) you need to keep it filed away for a few years, though.

It's been a fun ride. No regrets.

I think Robby's timing with RGM and the Car of Tomorrow is what really hurt. Instead of controlling expense, teams went ape shit trying to figure out how to get the POS to drive...alot of what ifs that can be thrown around..from a fans perspective the last couple of years that he ran full time was painfully brutul to watch and am sure as frustrating as it was for fans it was even more so for Robby. Seems to be some exciting stuff going on with the SST as I'm really looking forward that and who knows, maybe down the road Robby will make guest appearances at select races in different series as just a driver (IE....cup road races, Indy ect) where he can just jump in the car, not woory about all the other crap and just have some fun and race....

At the end of the day.....one of the main reasons we all root for the guy is because he does shit his way and he seems to excel when people tell him his way won't work.........

To be honest I'd almost prefer it ends up that way. Who knows maybe Richard would give him another shot in the 31 on the road courses with Burton probably leaving RCR after next season?

Would be sweet to see Robby put the 31 in victory lane again.

Burton's been pretty horrible as of late.

I heard Dillon was going to take over that ride in 2014

Looks like from 1st practice today to Final Practice, they picked up on the leaders big time- Get em' tommorow RG!
