The Chrysler - Fiat group have a bunch of great engines from which to chose. You got the 'Hemi, Viper, Ferrari, Maserati, and whole bunch more. Plus all the racy Italian brands are looking at performance SUV's. So who wouldn't like to see RG driving a Maserati SUV against the Mini's.
FCA may have nifty engines. But, in production form are they?
1-Dry Sump oil system
2-FIA homologated
3-if gasoline,how close to 4in bore/ 4in stroke
IMO, the last go around with Chrysler, was not a good experience for Robby.F-them
Never rule out anything in racing. I bet a beer Robby's DAKAR program will never have anything to do with FCA.
I won't touch that bet.
+1
As I said first thing this morning:
No. Nothing more than hobby racers to me, sorry. They built a huge race car that won't ever get the job done and finish well in Dakar. Two-co drivers in the car? Seriously? That spells racing for fun to me. I know they finished Dakar. BFD. Weren't they like a full day and a half back?
I just can't view their effort in the 2014 Dakar is a serious effort to win the race. Maybe they want to step up and buy a second HST, leave the second co-driver in the pits this time, and be real racers? Robby teaming with them and the way they did things this year would only hurt him.
Maybe he just went to go fishing and hang out in Mexico. Wish I was in Mexico fishing instead of BFE freezing...
i think this could be more about logistics and support. and more speed sponsorship is always good. maybe a gordini sold?
Never going to happen.
