He needs to put them both in. The year is just too short.

Robby needs to work the story, create the buzz, establish the partnerships, etc., starting now. Otherwise it will be a last minute attempt again. But don't hear me as too critical. It's obvious they are working on Dakar now, as last week showed.

Definition of insanity: Do the same thing, and expect different results.

I'll climb out on the end of the limb here as I tend to do all too often. Traditionally any driver announcements have come very close to the end of the calendar year. IMO this is because that is generally when sponsorship contracts expire and/or get renewed or revised. If my theory holds, the earliest any 2nd or 3rd driver news would be leaked is mid November. Feel free to dog-pile me if I'm wrong.

@Bricoop I agree, V2R for G2. It will provide info and is what WJM talked about , elevation. Timing may not work out. We will see. Timing for a second support truck to be built is getting tighter. IMO races last Week took care of a couple items if not more. First it provided shake down assurance . Second it showed the rest of the racing Dakar community that the Gordini is ready for the next step. Is more work needed ? Always and on going :)

V2R should work schedule wise. Apply updates to G1 learned from G2. Run G1 in V2R.

IMO, G2 is ready to be striped, and prep'd for whom ever.
The only reason to do V2R in G1 would be to test the *wink,wink- WJM thingy*. Orherwise it just needs a systems check.
I'd spend the time on F2 ,G3,G4.
