03:34 And we're off!
The 42nd edition of the Dakar is officially under way. It fell upon Juan Pedrero García to do the honours in today's special, with Lorenzo Santolino and Ivan Jakeš hot on his heels. The top 25 bikers in the field will hit the track ahead of the rest of the pack.

Looking forward to way point 1 . Come on Brabec

side note, the ASO expects each Special to average at least 5KPH faster than Specials in South America. IMO , that doesn't help with limiting speed on SxS's. Another good reason for RG to skip, IMO

Metge 1st
Lana 2nd
early

Brabec through 47 kms - P1 Yessssssssss

Brabec to the lead, early

FYI, the Netherland tracker does not show Brabec at all.

Andrew Short through WP1 9th... Interesting on Netherland Tracker. Should we be worried?

netherland tracker has alot wrong
it show Short on a KTM
barreda on a Husky
and no Brabec at all

and Robby in the 316

I'll bet she has it fixed for tomorrow

THE DRIVER LIST HAS BEEN UPDATED, SORRY FOR THE CONFUSION!
