The last stage could be good with Nasser and Peterhansel separated by only 6 seconds. I'm sure Mini would like a 1-2 overall.

Thanks for all the video links. You rock!

Thanks for all the updates and links Mike. That time difference makes it hard to follow the Dakar this time around.

Good luck to Ricky Brabec and Casey Currie on the last stage for an American Dakar win. Good luck to Carlos Sainz to keep his lead. He has had his share of bad crashes in the Dakar in the past.
This was just an odd Dakar for me to keep up with. Again, thank you Mike for all your posts.

Thank you Barb. Saudi Arabia was a 5 year deal, we're stuck with this time slot for four more.

The last stage has started

Coming in at a length of 374 km, the last special is no ticker-tape parade. Although Ricky Brabec can afford to conserve his bike and ride at 80% to claim his first Dakar, it would be foolish for him to let his guard down, knowing that his rivals will come out with all guns blazing with only five minutes separating fourth and seventh place overall. Pablo Quintanilla will be opening the track with an eight-minute margin over Toby Price in the fight for the second step on the podium.
