Saudi Arabia is +8 hours on Eastern Time / +11 on the West Coast.

January 2nd-7th, the Rally Raid starts in Ha'il, Saudi Arabia and races South than West before racing to North to the city of Riyadh.

January 8th, Rest Day Riyadh

January 9th-14th, the Rally Raid continues from Riyadh through the Southern area of Saudi Arabia before heading to West, than West, finishing in Jeddah.

LW Proto: Gutiérrez haemorrhaging time!
After shadowing Seth Quintero until km 199, Cristina Gutiérrez is losing over half an hour at the next checkpoint. Her teammate Guillaume De Mevius has taken advantage to move into second place, 5'17' behind Quintero. This development should also help 'Chaleco' López and Saleh Alsaif move up the standings.
