Do you think Watkins Glen is a make ore break race for RGM?

Since Robby started his own team he's had sponsorship, but this year it appears the economy is hitting Robby hard. Of course this is just looking from the outside. I have no idea inside RGM how financially stable the team is. But showing up weekly without decals is not good.

Alot of people would have love to see Robby at Montreal, but I believe Robby testing Wed at Road Atlanta speaks volumes. (By the way did you know Robby shared every note with Marcos Ambrose's team for Montreal)
The team seemed to have found some things at Road Atlanta, I hope it pays off.

But, I would think if Robby could win at Watkins Glen what a huge boost it would be for RGM. Yes, it would give the team alot of momentum, but financially it would pay huge. Huge jump in points. Put RGM in the Winner's Circle program. Reserve Robby a spot in the 2009 All Star Race. Easier sell to sponsors.

Robby needs to have a Top 5 but finishing 25th or below would be a huge blow to RGM.

Pretty sure the car was 2 sec. faster than everyone but the 48 and we were a second faster than him, DUE TO THE FACT THAT OUR CREW CHIEF SETUP IS BAD FUCKING ASS!!! lets give credit where credit is due to WALTER! Yes the off road guys are there in the shop working on the cars and their help is much appreciated but Walter is the c.c., he comes up with the setups and when the cars are fast he should get the credit (because he deserves it), especially due to the fact that some of you assholes are so quick to crusify when the setup is off ! Walter is hands down the best crew chief this place has seen and i have been here since Erwin, the road crew rocks and RG says that himself and that is cause the guys believe in Walter and work that much harder for him.
Thank you Chris!!!! I liked Walter immediately and know that he is going to make this team good. I am sick of all the stupid fucks that dont even give him a chance. Everyone will stick a sock in their mouths when he's drinking champagne in victory lane on Sunday!!!!!!!!!
It's great to hear the confidence Chris. Here's to a great race (or two) this weekend so everyone else can see and feel what you're talking about.
So take that mofos! Tell it like it is Chris!
Hmmm. I haven't heard too much ripping on Walter, but honestly I haven't paid that much attention. I've liked him well enough, the stability is a great change at this point.
I'm glad to see that Walter is top notch with the road course stuff, but that wasn't really what needed improving. I'm hopeful they stop missing the setup at places like Pocono. I'm looking forward to a good run this weekend and if Walter and the boys can put Robby in a position to win, I will forgive all the awful runs since Walter came on board. Maybe its just luck, I mean, Indy was a mess, and Pocono practice got rained out, so you can't really blame Walter for that I suppose. Glad to hear the team guys have rallied behind Walter, thats probably going to be the key to getting two victories this weekend.
I guess that's why in the post-race quotes Robby says they missed the setup because Walter had such an awesome package put together for this weekend. And Indy. And Pocono in June. And Darlington. And how can we forget michigan!
It's working. He's pissed me off !!
Hee hee!! or his windshield cleaning class.........
Could go on forever, He'll get the message now !
Hope all goes well this weekend. Was thinking about the Busch race where Newman beat him. If he'd have had one more green lap he would have passed him and won but the caution came out and screwed it up. Things like that have got to be coming to an end.
While Walter maybe the best CC in NASCAR and the Road Guys found some fixes that make the car scream, Robby needs to sacrifice a couple of virgins to the weather gods for this weekend else he will be missing one race and starting from the back in another. NOAA weather for the area:
Friday: A chance of showers and thunderstorms. Mostly cloudy, with a high near 76. Chance of precipitation is 50%.

Friday Night: A chance of showers. Cloudy, with a low around 56. Chance of precipitation is 40%.

Saturday: A chance of showers and thunderstorms. Cloudy, with a high near 73. Chance of precipitation is 40%.

Saturday Night: A chance of showers. Mostly cloudy, with a low around 55. Chance of precipitation is 30%.

Sunday: A chance of showers. Mostly cloudy, with a high near 77. Chance of precipitation is 30%.
Thats not good. Only 42 cars on the entry list for the Nationwide race though so he should still get to start.
