So the Free Agents are...

Including some "other guys" who may or not be free agents, but are running trucks or nationwide, etc....

Surely with that many guys around at least a couple of them could find some money to go racing!

Ryan Newman...(probably gone to SHR)
Johnny Sauter...???
Jeremy Mayfield...(been out most of the year)
PJ Jones...(RGM stand-by and test man)
Matt Crafton....(also drove some practice for RGM...and a Menards driver)
Paul Menard (not "free" but uncle john does whatever uncle john wants)
David Stremme...(likely headed to the #12)
Boris Said...(sponsor issues?)
Jacque Villenueve...?
Patrick Carpentier....(maybe free, find out by the 15th)
Jason Leffler...(Nationwide guy)
Scott Wimmer...(Nationwide guy...should be back in CUP)
Dario Franchitti...(free after this year??)
Dave Blaney...(very capable driver...BDR is floundering too)

Again it is too bad that Robby and Paul can't hook up. Paul is the only one with a Golden Sponsor in his mouth. Looks like PJ now has another team owner looking at him - HOF Racing as he is in the 96 at the Glen.

Sponsors love Carpentier, and he can qualify the heck out of a racecar. Might not be a bad deal there.

If we're just talking about "who would be the best available" then I see your point. If you're talking about who might Robby go after...only two has a sponsor...Riggs & Paul Menard
