Good to see others around him sucking when he has a bad finish. Robby is VERY LUCKY to be locked into the top 35 right now, based on his finishes the last 4 races. That being said, he can't expect these other guys to continue to have bad luck when he does, especially since 36th place ( the 84 ) has been running great and will more than likely get right back in after California. Robby controls his own destiny in the owners points and the fall months have historically been garbage for RG. At least Dover and Talladega will be strong tracks for him.
Here you go after race:

30. #41 1904 +95
31 # 7 1868 +59
32. #55 1861 +52
33. #66 1843 +34
34. #22 1825 +16
35. #77 1823 +14
36. #84 1809 -14
37. #00 1798 -25
The Top 35 race is about as much a battle now as The Chase.

Eight (8) drivers battling to stay in the Top 35 for 30-35 (6) spots...2 of these drivers will likely be outside the Top 35 after the year.

The #10, #45, #96, #78, #21 and #70 are over 250 points or more behind 35th.
So who will make it in the Top 35 and what might effect them?

30. #41 Sorenson -headed to GEM (could spell trouble for remainder of year)
31 # 7 Gordon (If any luck can be found then everything should be okay)
32. #55 (NAPA back in '09, so Top 35 will be a priority)
33. #66 (Leaving in '09, but auditioning for rides...Haas needs this car in the Top 35)
34. #22 (CAT leaving, bad luck in last 3 races...team selling?)
35. #77 (Rookie. Could be fighting to the last race for a Top 35 spot)
36. #84 (Running strong lately, but having to qualify on speed kills race performance)
37. #00 (No sponsor, driver? showing signs of a team on the brink)
If that #22 drops out.... it will be the end and be sold for pennies on the buck.

If the #77 drops out... Roger will just move the #12 point to it.

If the #55 drops out... Mikey will move the #44 points to it.

If the #66 drops out... Welll maybe that is why no sponsor for the #39 has been announced for 09?

If the #41 drops out watch Gillett buy Ganassi.

If the #7 drops out, RG should slit his wrists.
Regardless if any of these teams closes shop, they want the top 35 so they can sell the points to someone for some major $$$$ for next year. I can't believe RCR is making Bowyer move to the 33 and Mears gets the 07 points, I'd be pissed if I was Clint and Mears sucks.

If Robby (the most talented/greatest driver of all time) can't beat out Mikey, Hornish, AJ (who has missed races) or Riggs in the lst 12 races, then he derserves to have to time his way in. At least last night we can't bitch how bad RGM sucked since Mears sold out his spotter to put us out of future misery.
Fly won't lose sleep or slit his wrists if RG drops from the top 35,trust me on that..lol...
LOL- The only thing we would all do if RG dropped from the top 35 is cuss a bit more, thats all.
I don't think we need to worry about Robby dropping out of the top 35. 59 isn't alot of a lead but he is by far the best back there.
He may be the best driver back there but at places like Fontana it is the car and how you can adjust it. That has not exactly been RGM's strength this year, has it?

BRR
After the Darlington race, one of the crew members told me the reason Rob hired Walter was that his "ideas" were better than those of Frankie Kerr.

I guess we'll find out in 11 races if that is indeed the case.
Saluki: nascar.com interview with RC says nascar wouldn't allow RCR to carry the 07 points to the 33. Don't think it's too big a deal either, haven't seen Bowyer need a "provisional" anytime in recent memory anyway.
