As the 2014 season gets ready to start, Nascar enters it's 2nd full year with the new car. Ford returns with the Mustang, Dodge with the Charger, Toyota has switched to the Maxima and Chevy will attempt to flex it's muscle by ditching the Impala for the popular Camaro. Kyle Busch will defend his Championship at Daytona.

Nascar's Most Poluar Driver Dale Earnhardt Jr. will make his first appearance with RCR after replacing Clint Bowyer, who departed to Richard Petty Motorsports. Junior is trying to break a winless streak that dates back over 5 years. Junior raced for Hendrick Motorsports from 2007-2013 and rarely saw victory lane. Richard Childress hopes to bring the Earnhardt name back to glory, as Junior will finally drive for the team of his late father Dale Earnhardt, Sr.
The Danica Patrick experiment seems to be making another change after Danica and sponsor GoDaddy.com moved to Ganassi Racing. Danica failed to qualify for 6 races last season and the JR Motorsports Cup experiment looks to be over. As previously announced, the JR Motorsports team will return to the Pepsi Max Series.
Truex's team unsure of their future after Daytona. Martin Truex tried to copy the successful formula of Robby Gordon by launching his own Energy Drink Company "True X Energy" But, unlike Gordon who in 2010 launched his SPEED ENERGY and watched it leap to the 2nd most popular Energy Drink behind Red Bull; and financially secured RGM into a 3 car team in 2013. True-X Energy never got off the ground and hardly off the shelves. Martin Truex joins other drivers that tried to copy Gordon's successful formula. In 2013,
Former Rookie of the Year Joey Logano and his father launched their race team along with another attempt in the Energy Drink business with "Lo-Go Energy" (claiming to be the Lowest calorie with Highest energy boost) but so far the team has yet to race since last year's Daytona race and no word on the future of "Lo-Go."
AJ Allmendinger launched his athletic shoe "Dingers" in an attempt to support his own team, but filed bankruptcy within 8 months.
The most heart breaking was watching veteran Michael Waltrip attempting to salvage his team by launching his own Rent-to-Own stores "Mikey's" only to see it shut down after multiple lawsuits and battles with former sponsor Aaron's over Mikey's store mascot "Lucky Dawg"
