Polaris

Does anyone know about Polaris as a possible sponsor for next year?

Before the start of the race Robby came over the radio and asked if the Polaris guys were being taken care of.

Possible hospitality deal for a new sponsor for next year?

RG commented he has sponsorship in place for 2009 but only commented Menards was signed, nothing about Beam. We shall see.

Supposedly RGs Hummer was in the Polaris booth at a show, so it might be just an offroad deal that included a Nascar pr event.

When Polaris did it's 2009 dealers show in Vegas, Robby introduced the new Razer by jumping it into the stadium. I don;t know exactly what his ties are to Polaris but he has worked with them in the past so who knows....

Robby was here in Vegas a couple of months ago and was at a private convention of sorts for Polaris sales people. It was a huge event they transformed the whole Orleans arena into a dirt track. And from a freind that works for the Orleans arena said that Robby did a personal appearance with the Monster Hummer. Robby's personal open offroad trailer was loaded with two customized Polaris Ranger's and were decaled with Monster Energy. He also said Robby had his prerunner there and was giving the Exec's rides out in the desert

Sound like the Polaris thing could be promising if they are looking to branch out their advertising. But with this economy I think that it might just have been greasing a few wheels to keep the existing sponsorship.

Wasn't it a Polaris product that Robyn rolled at that CORR race a while back also? Could be a whole Gordon Family tie in.

Rember a few weeks back I semi qouted Robby on his SI interview. Robby said something to the effect of "I don't care if they had all 43 of us racing Polaris RZR's around in a parking lot". I thought that was kinda odd, being the now "retired" ride (the yellow one, w/flames) that Rob always brought out to the trailer was a Yamaha. He didn't replace it with an eqauly dope ride either, verry un-Robby. I'd say something is def in the works with the Polaris peeps. Maybe like a custom RZR being built, to match a new sponsor deal.
As for Beam, you don't have to worry about what your going to do with all that JB gear you've bought the last 3 yrs. It'll still be good for '09.

i was just in my local snowmobile shop they were getting all the winter gear out and putting all the cycle stuff away i didn't realize how big Monster was into snowmobiling. From helmets to jackets, gloves, shirts. Lots of stuff they have and its all very kick ass looking also.....

Polaris used to be in NASCAR in 2000-2002 with BDR. Ward Butron was the driver. Catapillar was the primary sponsor with Polaris as an associate and I think they were the primary on 1 or 2 races a year. So Polaris and NASCAR is nothing new. If they were to be looking at coming back and if with RGM, then at least they know what they are getting into.

My guess is the Polaris deal is probably a service / endorsment contract Robby is doing with them. I doubt we will see them on the Cup team. Maybe as a small associate on the Dakar and Score program.
