That wouldn't be necessary. Jimmy Mean's #55 is #255 according to NASCAR. Up until about a year ago, Robby was just #55, but now he is #155 according to NASCAR.
Way cool.............the flames will shoot him around the track no doubt!!!!! Thanks for sharing by the way.........it's hard to find time to uncover all the great stuff posted here, rely on things like this to keep me up to date!!
Dumb question here....is this the only Nationwide Series race Robby will do this season? And, why is he running a race mid-season? Is this a points paying race? Just trying to get my mind around the how and why.
Robby will be running the Watkins Glen Nationwide race (and I think one more). I am not sure what you are asking with "Is this a points paying race?"...all Nationwide races are points paying races for the Nationwide Championship chase.
Right. Any points Robby earns in Friday night's Nationwide race will go to the Nationwide Driver Points Standings and Nationwide Owner Points Standings. They do not cross over to the Sprint Cup Driver and Owner Points Standings.
The chassis is 004 and it is our inter. car from last year, we hung a new nose and tail on it a month ago and put in the dodge 1/4 windows, it is an in house chassis that we race last year at texas. It is powered with a GEM engine that was dropped in it monday night. Both the primary and backup were run in busch races last year. They were a thrash to get completed for this weeks event but the primary spent some time on the pull down so it should be somewhat fast right off the truck. As far as i know we are not running Montreal, plus the paperwork for that event would of been due either the beninning or end of this week, we are running the Jim Beam scheme at the Nationwide race at the Glen, they will also be the Cup sponsor. This weeks sponsors are due to the fact that thier headquarters are in the Chicago area i believe.
I think Menards may have their H.Q. there....BUT Mapei is in Deerfield Beach Fl.....at any rate Damn good looking car this week. Hopefully a good run and some t.v. time will fill in some holes in the unsponsored events.
