First - thanks (again) for the site - posting this video is really appreciated...I can't keep up with TV schedules.
So, my title line is a quote from RG about RGM....which, at first seemed out of character for someone I've always considered a racer/competitor above all else. His answer to "success" or the definition of success was illuminating though. (assuming I didn't read too much into it)
RG has had a number of "dreams" he's publicly stated in the past: I vividly recall a burning desire to win the Indy 500 and I'm sure a Dakar win is now very, very high on his list. I've never once heard him talk about winning a Nascar Championship - only about being competitive.
This, of course, is a big guess - but, he may be defining success as "Racing when he wants to race...and where he wants to race".
Wondering if the RGM management team here (sarcasm intended) thought the same thing after seeing that hub spot? I have to admit, seeing RG in a stadium again would be cool - I first saw him race at Anaheim stadium in the late 80's - doing a Mickey Thompson thing.
Thoughts?
