A tragic weekend

For those that joined us in 'chat' Saturday, it was a heartfelt day. Robby spoke a half hour before the start about spectator safety. About an hour later the first fatality of the Baja 500 happened.
A racer slide thru a corner into the crowd , A boy 8 succumbed to the impact.
Motorcycle competitors Travis Livingston and Noah Evermann passed while competing.
At the Isle of Man, sidecar pilot Dwight Beare and racer Paul Beare passed.
MotoGP 2 competitor Luis Salom passed in Friday practice

Godspeed

We also have SST's own Matt Mingay and passenger in the sidecar rig Ben Binns hospitalized and in need of our prayers and thoughts.

Those in the hospital and the families of those that were lost are all in our thoughts.

We now know the boys name who succumbed to injuries, Xander Hendricks . His mother Melissa was also hurt seriously in the same accident and has now been released.

Yeah horrible weekend indeed. I'm guessing this story http://www.dailymail.co.uk/news/article-3630222/Australian-stunt-dr... on Matt Mingay is inaccurate from what I saw on here the Detroit thread.

Anyone know how Matt got hurt? I watched the video here - https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=nKh5KyYM0eY but didn't see anything much different than what typically happens at a SST race. Cage looked good.
