Zoom - they are racing at Cowboy Stadium this year... on July 13th. Check that one off. I imagine that there will be new venues added to the 2nd season of SST... maybe even raising the total number of races!
+1
I would like them in the North East, from Pa on up! The Meadow Lands/ Giants Stadium would be the cats ass! Rentschler Field, home the Uconn Huskeys football maybe. Rentschlers has a 40,000 seat capacity so IF they did hold the event there 25,000 people in the stands would look like a well attended event! Then there's the New York Red Bulls Stadium! This place is awesome, but sits dead in the water with exception to a couple of soccer gamer a month! C'mon, a Speed Energy SST event in the Red Bull Stadium.... The Dover infield?
Lucas Stadium is a great choice! I forgot that one! It's in smack dab (like that...smack dab, like Darned tootin)in the middle of the city, mall across the street! Great city last time I was there!
Northeast for sure! Eldoro, Watkins Glen (perhaps the boot portion?), Hershey Park actually has a sweet outdoor stadium.
I didn't know that! I'm not sure if 15k seats are enough? I think there are probably more off road people in PA than CT but I could be wrong. I think I'm the only racing enthusiast in the state! I mention Dakar to my friends and just smile that empty , wtf is Dakar smile...
I have already mentioned Williams Grove. It has a huge dirt track fanbase. It would bring more fans than Phoenix. Baltimore wouldn't be considered the Northeast but that is where I would push for. M&T bank stadium is right in the inner harbor and would be a great venue.
Grove, Big Diamond or Grandview would be great as would Pocono (I'm like 15min from that) or that baseball stadium they built in Allentown/Whitehall for the Ironpigs.
WRONG! Not going to bring more fans than Phoenix. Phoenix/Tempe had GREAT turnouts back during the Mickey Thompson days. I would not use the very first SST race in Phoenix as a measuring stick.
All I'm saying is that the World of Outlaws draws as big a crowd at Williams Grove. And I like to believe the SST puts on a better show. Those of us in Northeast the are completly shut out of a race this year and this is the most populated part of the country. Pocono used bring in 160,000+ for Nascar and the track is in the middle of nowhere. It's time for a new series to take over.
