Well Ron Hornaday's dumb-ass wrecked our boy Brian Ickler out of the Toyota All-Star Showdown tonight...He was absolutely dominating at the time--he had led over 100 laps. But the whole crowd booed Hornaday pretty good, which is really saying something for a SoCal crowd.

But the main point of my post was to ask whether anyone knew if Ickler was going to run anymore races for Robby this year in Nationwide? He's clearly ready to graduate from Camping World East.

I hope RG gives him another shot in Nwide.
I'm really starting to enjoy watching Joey Logano fail.
The thing that kills me about Logano and a lot of younger drivers, Busch, Hamlin, Sorenson, is this sense of entitlement, as though because they show up, everyone should just play dead. They are extremely lucky guys who, aside from Busch have pretty average talent who should consider themselves fortunate that they are in the spot they are in at a young age.
I never got that from Sorenson or Busch.

But absolutely from Hamlin and Lagano.
Many many reports of Sorenson not putting the work into his career, not showing up for sponsor functions, etc. Maybe not the same kind of attitude that Hamlin or other have but still a sense of entitlement.

Kyle has an almost megalomaniacal attitude of him vs. the world, from crashing out Johnny Benson at Martinsville to pitching a fit when Carl just moved him out of the way at Bristol, he's just incredibly immature.

Hamlin and Logano are worse though.
I was dumbfounded when I saw Logano pull that...but perplexed why Logano got a 'rough driving' penalty and Hornaday did not :-/
I guess most of you that watched the race were watching a different race. Back up the race 5 laps from the end and notice the guy Logano tried to pass at the end moved logano up into the wall. Now if you were driving logano's car and this guy moved you into the wall with 5 to go........???????? "Come on no points and a million dollars".......JEFF GRORON
No, watched the same race. Even the replay.

Moved him up, with 5 laps to go? Maybe. But Lagano did a banzai move that was very dangerous and clearly intended to hit the other car in a violent manner. Rubbing is racing, but that was over the line. There is a difference between moving someone out of the groove to pass, and diving a corner like its a computer game.

Lagano is lucky he did not get his butt kicked. He will though if he keeps that crap up.
I was at the track and after watching replays of the last 8 laps several times, this is my thoughts on the matter.

Notice that when #83 Peyton Sellars "moved" Logano into the wall, they were racing 3-wide for the lead. That was just good hard racing that resulted in the car on the bottom sliding up just a little, forcing the #83 up just a little, and thus the contact between the #83 and the #08. Sellars did not intentionally run the #08 into the wall (unlike earlier in the race when the #08 tried to run the #6 into the wall). And even if he did, that is still no excuse to try and pull a bonzai move like Logano did. In the last 8 years that I have watched races at Toyota Speedway at Irwindale, that move fails 99.5% of the time (and I am being generous giving it a 0.5% success rate) in a stock car. Logano would have been better served if he pulled the "bump and run" instead of the dumbass move he made.
I think why Logano got hit with the penalty while Hornaday did not comes down to one factor. It appeared that Hornaday tried to slow down and not hit Ickler, but it was too late. Logano dove into the turn and tried to accelerate off the turn from the middle of the turn at a bad angle.
Logano's head was way far up his butt - that was the 'bad angle'. What a dumb ass move.
That is true. I have driven a SLM at Toyota Speedway through the LA Driving Experience (or whatever the hell they want to call it) and in a stock car, you are not going to accelerate from the middle of the corner and actually get the car turned to go down the front stretch from the spot Joey tried to do it from. When I saw him make that move, I was sitting in the stands thinking "oh shit" and that's when the fireworks ensued.
