Could you just imagine???

Could you just imagine what Nascar would have done to RG if he did what Gilliland did to Montoya? First of all, Gilligan turned Montoya at a very high rate of speed, sending Montoya dam near straight into the fence head first. RG would have been burned at the stake in the neighborhood courtyard for all to see! I just shake my head sometimes...

This is not the case here, again prior inccidents have gotten the same punishment. Michael Waltrip got the same for a similar move this year.

Why anyone would think Gilliland is or would get preferential treatment is beyond me...

I think Nascar would take any reason to boot RG from the sport, they don't seem to like guys that glorify other forms of racing.

I mean I know the majority of us feel that NASCAR is too strong on Robby, but all that aside. Watching this makes me question if Gilliland should be racing or not! I mean retaliation tracks are short tracks everyone knows that! You cannot send someone straight into the wall at one of the (if not the) fastest tracks on the circuit at the fastest point on the track. Thats how you seriously hurt someone. I was amazed, and even though Robby can be hot headed, I don't think he would send someone into the wall at 200+. I could be wrong though if he gets mad enough! Not realy a huge fan of either driver involved, I'd have to say Montoya more so than Gilly. it was just a bad thing to see. Watching JPM in F1 - I'd say that he will not forget that accident!

My feeling is if you keep poking a bear with a stick... he will get tired of it and bite you.
Rob has poked the NASCAR Bear many times. It's who he is. And I think that's why I like him.
Don't change a thing Rob.... Just need to pick and chose when to poke that bear.

Remember. The bite from the forth or fifth time you've poked that Bear is going to be a lot harder then the first time you poked him.
He don't forget that easy.

it does seem NASCAR comes down harder on RGM .but i would not go so far to say that they are out to run him out of the sport.they probably look at like he cant make it as a one car team and he will go away eventually.
Gilliland is an idiot and Montoya probably deserved what he got but not at that track at those speeds and when he was running in the top 10 and Gilliland was many laps down.BAD BAD BAD GILLILAND.
