You can find start times (with your local time): http://dakartiming.eu

Per tweet , first car off at 9:03 am ET, I'm glad they gave everyone advance notice. 37 K in length. Don't stay in the bathroom to long, it'll be over

I've been without power since a little after noon so thanks for the updates Mike!!!

I would expect it is starting in a new country that has not been included in the Dakar before. It will be interesting to see if Seb Loeb, can get his first Dakar
Trying to figure out who in the cars to root for. Thinking of Tom Coronel and de Villiers. Really I'll be happy with anyone other than a Pug and Nasser winning.
Mini, Toyota? I am guessing a Pug myself. Nasser not much hope. Loeb could be very strong this year
Great to see us following Dakar on here like each year although not quite the same without Robby. Glad to see stickers for 2018 on front page, here's hoping to a return for the Gordinis next year, hopefully with two cars. Great to read about SST plans as well. All the best to Robby and all at RGM for 2017!

Dang Nasser can even destroy a Toyo on a short stage.
