Great article by Ms. Hippie Douche-Canoe. The title of the piece is a question, it's based on assumption. I'm all for preserving the geoglyphs so build a fence around them.

I also like the second photo of a car burning in the desert - how does this relate? It doesn't. I guess the intent is to show how the rally is marring thousands of square miles of dry, barren, uninhabitable land.

Whacko environmentalists are the same the world over. Same as the crew of university professors that get their all natural fiber underoos in a wad in Peru the last couple of years. Personally I'm more concerned by this kind of stuff myself.

The BITD is taking away public recreation use of land on a regular basis here in the states. Its so one-sided. There's no reason that we can't have dedicated roads to offroading and off-limit areas for others. A big issue in the past has been offroaders not abiding by the course or trail and destroying vegitation (which has a much larger impact than just killing a plant).

BITD? or BLM

Mike-Thank you BLM, BLM, BLM

What ever the name or "authority" the key word is TAKING AWAY...er.....that's two words. I am behind preservation and I am behind heritage. But I'm giant on proactive rather than reactive. I'd like to see chopper footage of bikes trikes and the like running on near or over these majestic "artifacts". I'll buy the fact that footprints are distorting the natural lay of the elements that are in play to create these and (bullshit clock ticking ....I'd rather talk about foriegn troops on our soil) other natural or unnatural wonders around the globe. In essence are the things all over the place ?? Somebody had to look at the route and proximity to wit the concern would be to say that they are in danger in the forefront of the planning stages......

Yes Great article. It's getting stupid assclown type shit now. Latest from the Rubicon Trail, environmentalists are filling in the bumps and boulders. Yes you read right. During the Week the assclown buttercups are going in and filling and moving rocks. In so making the trail not as much of a challenge. Dorks ... it rains and moves shit around anyway.

Well you know when a Jeep rolls over a rock its feelings get hurt.

Ha, that's funny. Well playedWJM
