It was the number she picked when she first started racing.
The only reason she was in the #7 at Andretti was because she replaced Bryan Herta when he retired and that was the number of the car he drove.
The only reason she had the #7 in the NNS was because it was part of the conditions that Andretti had in-order to let her race in the NNS. Thought was that people would see it was the same number she drove in the IRL and it would make merchandise sales for the IRL side go up thus more money for Andretti Autosport.
Good marketing scheme for her. Glad to know that Robby didn't cave. S&P the 7 and hold up your middle finger to let NASCAR know that you will always be Number 1.
Nascar needs to take a long hard look at their future. When drivers like Danica Patrick and Kevin Conway are in the "big show" - it doesn't say a whole lot about Nascar's product. They might as well just strap Brian France's fat spoiled ass in a car to take laps. If fact, I'd almost rather see that than bad drivers with big sponsors.
I agree with Derrick, take it easy Sean... Not all fans/viewers like to watch the same old, I for one am looking forward to her presence, and I also wish RGM was in the position to field/supply her car she is an immediate shove into the spotlight for any team.. True.
