Its always a bad thing for any series to lose a manufactuer, I think Dodge tried somewhat but at the end of the day there just wasn't a strong enough case for them to stay in Nascar. Besides parent company Fiat isn't crazy about it & would spend their money in other series like ALMS, or Rally, Dodge had 2 Vipers at Mid Ohio last weekend & reps from the company were on hand.
Dancing with interest I'd imagine
Jayski is also reporting Dodge is a goner. Will Robby return to the BowTie when he runs for a spot next Feb. at
Daytona?
NASCAR.COM confirms Dodge is gone. I wonder if RGM would have better resourcing opportunities if they ran the same manufacturer in all the series in which they compete. Just a thought/rhetorical question.
Who in world says Robby will "EVER" get in a stock car again???????????????????
Exactly! RG is done with Nascar...SST is going to be a Full Time commitment!!!
No surprise. If it wasn't for Daimler, Chrysler wouldn't have returned to racing, period.
I say according to the old copies of HOTROD magazine, the memories of driving my buddies 71 Challenger, the development of the MoPaR Hemi (read the true history) the existence of the Dodge Daytona, and okay the Plymouth Superbird (read the true history) and countless other historic happenings over the history of the American Auto world involving this brand they rock. That in a perfect world a perfect one all the biggies would be "STOCK CAR" racing. However instead we have a frigged up way of counting jits in this world that has the .........my soup is burning gotta run
Michael.......don't forget the 5 hemi engines that were built for the GLODENROD that held the speed record (409.227) at Bonneville. After being restored in 2006 it now sits in the Henry Ford Museum.....go figure.
