I think NBC should list it as "Baja 1000"
I would think just the name would spark interest in more people, rather than listing it as "adventure sports"
Climbing up a rock or ripping through the desert doing 100mph with hills, rocks, ruts, river beads and crazy locals in the way.....which is more interesting? Ya, thats what I thought....

Dont fight it man. I am surprised Fox's F1 coverage is not called "Cars with Wings". Motorsports needs a good sex scandal to improve its ratings and the title right. Just ranting, hate US coverage of motorsports.

Hey, there's an idea. Since Tiger is not going to be golfing, and probably won't be married either, I wonder if he'd be interested in learning about off-road racing? Get him to co-drive in a couple of SCORE races next year, and have him fund and drive a Hummer in the 2011 Dakar.

That'd get the sport some media attention, wouldn't it.

so I tuned in to nbc today to see the baja 1000 and what do I get, a goddamn infomercial for a juicer!!! WTF?

what, did all they show was class champs

They showed 3 or 4 shots of Robby during the race.

They showed NONE of Robby finishing. They never even said he finished or that he won the championship.

Only showed the top 3 TT's finishing.
