First the turbocharged Minis and now the turbo pugs have dominated all the high altitude stages over the past five years.

Ford is getting back into racing in a big way with Ecoboost prototypes at Daytona 24 and now with their GT program at Le Mans. Maybe they want to sponsor Gordon to go kick some euro ass in Dakar.

The problem is not having a diesel, it's about forcing the petrol engines to suck air through a straw.

this thread turned from a conversation to what would give RG a better chance to win at Dakar into a GM vs Ford or anybody else thing. Friggin dumb.

Ummm, this was a silly thread all along. I probably should have deleted the first day.

You were only trying to help,,, who knew of the prejudice.

Moonshine powered Clampet mobile is my choice.

Granny cold cook up some shit to make it fly

personally I don't care what brand he drives, I just want him to win at
Dakar or where ever he races. Just win baby!!!

in the daily threads. someone (Robert) was all gussy'd up about the #345 Ford F150, Eco Boost. Well here go, doesn't sound or run like a Eco Boost , it's not, it's a South African built Ford with a 5.0 Coyote

Is this the flat crank 5.0? I have driven one and it is a great engine. I just checked that would be the 5.2. In what I have observed this year it sounds to me the Gordini might need a slightly higher gear.
So funny you bumped this thread back up ;)

I needed a place to put the footage for a future topic, and to answer the speculation

"Not gutsy "about an Ecoboost, amazed a Ecoboost, could have been that competitive. 5 Litre V8 makes more sense.
Go back to my original comment an Ecoboost, would not have been that fast , heat and other factors would have killed it. Anyway those Russians now have the best performed F150
