Eric Vigeroux Incident Video

Bellow you will find a link to Eric's incident. I post this not for the fact of seeing the incident, but to show the immediate effort that Eric and Alex showed. Our Team Dakar USA has handled this situation very professionally. As you can see, Alex is out of the truck before it even stops moving. While watching the video your heart must go out to Eric. At the end of the video they are yelling at Eric "go go go." Its sad this incident happened, but in my opinion it could not have been handled any better.

Per Will Higman on a another forum:

Eric is a really great person and I know first hand how hard this is for him. He has never had an incident like this before in his racing career and I bet he would trade all those years for this not to have happened.

Eric is going to the hospital today to visit the guy and make sure everything is OK before we leave Buenos Aires.

My heart went out to Eric as soon as I read of the incident and seeing the remorse that was so apparent brought tears to my eyes.

The immediate effort both he and Alex showed was heroic in its own right.

young Jeff is upset...what to do, what to do? Here's the deal...do us all a favor next time and have a little more respect for the board and for what you are saying. We have no way of knowing your intent...there are alot of new fans on this board and many have little history with RG, so when you say a wheel on Robby's TT hit a fan, your are perpetuating a falsehood, knowingly or not, and folks might actually believe it. I'm not saying don't contribute...you can regale us with your opinions all day long...hell, some of them might even be entertaining. But next time think twice before making a statement of fact...you follow?
