Fuel Mileage and Making the Pit Stops at the Right Time.

Is this Robby's year for a great road course victory?

A short fun quote from Bump-Draft

Whether you love Robby Gordon or hate him- he’s one guy about which everybody has a strong opinion. One thing for sure: he’s his own guy and there’s not another driver in NASCAR like him. He’s a racer’s racer.

Someone once said of Tony Stewart, that he could put four wheels on a cockroach and win a race with it. Robby Gordon would be right there with him….running a special off-road edition cockroach and pushing Smoke all the way home.

His way may not always be right, but it’s his way.

Imo....I honestly believe that Robby is Damn prepared for this weeks race at sonoma.

Sam- Everybody is well aware of the 'field' catching up, but still, RG is one bad motherF-er on a road course.I have last years scanner replay that will go up this week, and it will shoot down all the people who 'claim' RG DIDNT listen to his crew chief last year. I just played it, and RG was PLEADING to pit, and Kirk kept telling him no, we arent in the pit window. On to 2010. Clean slate.
42 guys wont win on Sunday. All the losers of the race should quit.
Robby will never do that , he's not a quitter . Some people need to let the past go , it's over and done with . Concentrate on the here and now , and just maybe they won't be so miserable . Just my 2 cents , for what it's worth .
Sherry- I am being sarcastic. Sam is being a hater( as usual )
TOG , I know that . I'm just fed up with all the whining and complaining. :)
Waiting with open grill ...love roadies, have fuel "hickory and apple wood" Sirloin
One thing though I will eat before the race so for some stupid reason the race won't ruin my dinner. I will be hunting the 4 leafer and will post as to put my luck/curse for all to see.
Not going to happen, so move on from that. 99.9% of the RG fanbase looks forward to this weekend, regardless if he has a chance at a win or not. 99.85 of RG's fanbase looks forward to EVERY race weekend that RG is in.
Sam- Dissing people for being pumped about RG racing at Infineon is just straight up miserableness. Most know the record the past 6 years, but most still get jazzed once he unloads the #7 on friday. Save your speech for martinsville.
If you go in thinking you are going to lose
You already lost before you even started!
I am not buying that for a second. Last year at Sonoma was a bad luck caution and WG was a bad power steering pump that had to be replaced. I don't think for a second that Robby has lost a step at all. Try driving around The Glen for a few dozen laps without power steering.

Anyway, Harvick was Robby's worst enemy in 2001. Fuel economy was Robby's enemy back in the Ford days and last year. Power steering was the enemy at The Glen last year and, oh yeah, the electrical fire a few years back at The Glen as well.

'08 was just a bad year. Not sure what happened in those races. Blame the Dodge power.
The electrical fire was caused buy a battery from the in car camera!
That would be a Nascrap part failure not an RGM component
Anybody else think it's possible Robby got "the Call" from NASCAR at NH in 2001 to make up for the camera fire at the Glen?
Just sayin'...
