I walk along a creek bed in search of a worthy adversary that being the prized steelhead, when a fellow angler who i'm sure by his dress and conduct is vacant of the true rewards of angling however in his defense he states "What's that on your shirt"? I respond with a well rehersed but improvised for the situation response ......"It's the logo for an energy drink .....By Robby Gordon....you heard of him?" The situation plays to an encore of curious folks who ....I must say at this pointr I don't look too closely at what other guys are wearing...quite frankly if they don't look like a fool I don't notice anything.....any way, the tab promo shirt draws the inquiries the most...with the outlined full front of the logo. Each time the response includes the drink the DAKAR the SST......sometimes Max....sometimes the BAJA ....the exit from NAZICAR...and always the websites attributed to and involving dis dat and da udda ting......Maybe it's me "The freak" that lends to the relaxing effect of asking about the shirts ....I'm as easy going as the wind through a window....I think the logo in itself draws them in. I just hope a long winded oratory peppered with a random fact recital by a ........hey no problem......check it out and join us. Surprising how magnetic the whole thing is and I need not repeat the title of this post ....it's no problem at all.

Yes, Saturday in Apple Hill. During our stroll through the apple orchards on the way to the festival a young man walked over and said "Support Robby Gordon and Dakar" .....as he walked pass. My bride looked at me and said "up here in the middle of nowhere" ....I turned, winked " You know it girl" ......
almost forgot, I was wearing one of my Speed sweat shirts
Did you buy up all the apples? I think we will head up there this weekend. Before Halloween the traffic is always crazy once you get close to High Hill Ranch. You and I are about the only people probably that have heard of Apple Hill. I didn't go last year and the year before the place that makes those good apple shakes was closed. When I got back to our RV I had to get the blender out and make some apple margaritas. http://www.applehill.com/
Johnathon's apple's Bruce. Yes we were at High Hill. Go early it was packed by 10 am. Oh ya and Caltrans has all the left turns blocked as you head east uphill towards Pollock Pines. Making you go all the way up to exit 54 then it's west down the trail road. Dumb makes it kinda a one way deal. Have a good time.I left some for you ....lol
I normally take the RV up to Ghost Mountain Ranch and camp the weekend we go. We are members of Resorts of Distinction so we camp for free. It's one of the more ho-hum parks in the network, but it's free and it's next to the Apple Hill area.
This year we will head up early Sunday while many people are sleeping in or in church. My old E30 hasn't been out of the garage in months and this will be a good trip for her.
/p>
wanna bet this makes three of us
