How Many Races into the season before Tony says.... Rob do you have a minute to chat!

I say it will take about four races into the season before that conversation will happen. I feel Tony will be able to get it smoothed out faster because of the money he can throw at it. Just my thoughts. The problem is us common folk wont know if the conversation ever happens.

Never. Take Tonys money out of the equation. Look at Gene Haas. The man has more money than god. So any time they are short, they can go to the co-owner. Robby has Menard to bail him out, but its not quite the same.

Second, Tony draws more sponsors. That is just a fact. He was a Nascar champion and won more races, he should be able to get more funding.

One last thing, dont forget he is taking over a team that has been in existance since 2003. It was originally formed as a Hendrick satellite team, and still gets a lot of support from them. There is a decent infostructure to the Haas team already, Tony just had to overhaul it a bit. Robby started from the ground up, I think all he brought with him from RCR was a road course car.

Get used to the fact Stewart Haas will be way more successful than RGM. Even though both teams are owned by the driver, in reality they could not be more different.
Matt I think your points are right on the money. But I do think it will take Tony some time to get his head in the right spot to drive and own a team. And to do both at 100%
Oh I agree, it will take some time. He has the luxury of running a team that was already running decently last year though, especially Scott Riggs near the end.

Stewart Haas could have no sponsors and still run. Haas actually built one of the worlds only rolling road wind tunnels. The guy has stupid money.

WOW...What a cool video. Thanks Matt
Only at a cost of about $60 million...
It stil IS a Hendrick satellite team. Just another way around the rules for Rick Hendrick and Jack Rousch and NASCAR has let it slide.
Once upon a time Robby picked Tony up by his neck at Daytona too, haha. Of course that was Cup rooke Tony, Robby would end up throwing his back out trying to pick up the lard butt not...

Its funny how relationships change in the garage area.
Classic PIC... lol

They look like a couple of young ELVIS imitators going at it. HA HA HA
They actually both look a lil more lean back then. I remember watching that live. Earnhardt broke in a moment later,& grabbed both of them like they were his kids. The situation was in check immediately.
I remember watching it live as well. However, I don't remember Earnhardt getting involved. I know Tony's crew came running out to separate them.
Hell yeah , that's Robby. We all know they are good friends now.
