This weekend presents an awesome opportunity for RGM to BANK some great publicity. RGM will be showcasing Polaris at Crandon & Atlanta, but why not get on the phone with Polaris and add Bobby Labonte ina 2nd car this weekend! (or Menards or JimBeam)

Take the high road, "We wanted to help Bobby keep his consecutive start streak alive." He would automatically make the show with his Champions Provisional. Double the exposure for Polaris & RGM at Atlanta....by the way it's historically one of Bobby's best tracks!

RGM would have 2 days left to file the entry. Get a car ready and put him in the show! Imagine if he won....sponsors would be knocking. He's already gonna be hungry to prove he can still drive.

Don't be suprised if someone doesn't put him in their seat...

I like this idea cause Bobbys input on car and set ups could be useful...yet rg and bl are usually close in the race pack.
Atlanta is Bobby's track no question and to get him would be a great addition to RGM. The Ford/Toyota
thing would probably be the main sticking point for this to happen. Besides the obvious of getting equipment to
Atlanta, crew, and all the other stuff that goes into a race weekend. The past champ provisional is huge!
Your prolly right, but RG should give it a shot. Bobby will more than likely be @ ATL in somebody's car.
I mean I believe it ain't him. Those cars just don't run like their Roush counterparts.
Other than motors, Yates does not have what the other 5 have. Roush has never let any of his "good stuff" leave his control unless it was stolen from him. Robby might still be with FORD if not for stingy Jack.
Actually Keith, you might be suprised to know how much of those cars are built @ Roush. Hell, if I remember correctly those cars come to Yates only needing interior/exterior finish-fab, paint, & decals. Matter of fact, the office for the engineers for the Yates cars is @ Roush.
I never dismissed that, but it does not mean they are getting technology to make them a top 15 contender.
It might expose some weaknesses...
This is a great idea but it won't happen.
Lol, like most.
Just heard on "The Morning Drive" that Bobby Labonte will be in the #71 for those 7 races that he is not in the #96.
RGM, beaten to the punch as usual.
Yep, The #71 team made a great call adding Bobby Labonte. Not only will it gurantee the #71 for those 7 races to make the field. It will allow the team the opportunity to attempt to get back inside the Top 35.

Currently, the #71 team is 395 points behind 35th (#34 John Andretti).
