I'm sure there will be a few who will look only at the final results and bash RGM, but not since Daytona has RG had a car capable of winning a Cup race. The two car tandem of Robby Gordon & Trevor Bayne was one of the fastest of the day. It was such a great feeling to see Robby put that "Panther Pink" SPEED ENERGY Dodge up front. Robby looked like his old self at the start of the race, charging thru the field desparate to hook up with Bayne and establish themselves as a real threat. I watched on TV, listened to the scanner and listened to MRN Radio. Over and over you heard the words, "Robby Gordon in his SPEED ENERGY Dodge" and many times you saw Robby's Pather Pink Dodge glowing across the screen. Just like Daytona, Robby got a ton of exposure 9/10ths of the race...just didn't have the finish. Also goes to show those who always think it's a conspiracy, if you run up front, you get on TV, get talked about and get the exposure.

It was great to see RGM qualify for the race on speed, huge kudos. This should help the team get a great baseline for Daytona. You can tell RGM gave it a great effort. I heard a mature Miles, more confident and experienced. It was great to hear Patrick spotting again. Just shows what this team is capable of doing (even with a small team). Hopefully additional funding can be found, can only imagine what RGM could do now with some additional funds.

I'm sure this gave Robby a much needed momentum with his Cup program. After the Daytona race in July & Watkins Glen, it seemed the team was very down. This should light the fire back again.

GREAT JOB RGM!!!! Fans, buy SPEED, promote SPEED and help this team get funded. Looking forward to Phoenix, but can't wait til DAYTONA!!!

(PS- Penske motor was awesome sunday.)

Mike that would be cool I've never heard that before other than the short clips the networks play during the race.
Yes, they were bad fast......I liked the fact that Robby dropped all the way back out of the draft to pick Trevor up when he fell back. Showed some loyalty to the youngster......I don't think Trevor will forget that.
Awesome to see Robby doing well at Dega....I was checking out as much as I could from Holland. Over here on business/holiday and you are not going to find too many NASCAR fans here. Internet and a prayer for good connection kept me up at night. Great race...spot on regarding Miles and Patrick...Great effort RGM!!! Rock on kick ass and get some more support!
I agree! It look like he could see where the vacuum was from the other cars and effortlessly drove into it. The car stood out on TV for the whole run up to the 21 and the talking heads totally ignored him. They didn't mention the 7 until Bayne and him hooked up and were running a few laps in the fron group.
We were there and that was amazing! Everyone could easily see the hot pink car speeding by itself to the front, not a word from the announcer, but it was awesome to see. Thanks for a great race, Robby and all at RGM!
yes is was great to see us up front. bummer on the bumper. i thought i heard robby say he was getting engines from another builder and not penske anymore. am i wrong?
Penske plate motor.
The best was watching RG going back 12 1/2 sec. and picking up Trevor on my Pitcommand as they knocked of 1 to 2 sec. a lap on the leaders. Then watching them on Hotpass as they went flying by .AWESOME. When they got near the front the talking heads picked them up. This was GREAT!!
Best race I've seen in a long time. It proves that RG can run up front. Just needs funding. If you didn't think some of those high buck teams didn't take notice of the pink missile blasting up through there, think again.
go buy a case of speed and we will see more of this racing soon : )
Great job by all at RGM!
I would love to see the 7 and the 177 hooked together for a plate race. It could be awesome, but the RG black cloud go ruin it like with the bumper cover and rear end.
